GLENDALE—Members of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation – Dashanktsutyun Central Committee of Western US and members of the Armenian National Committee of America-Western Region Board of Directors on Tuesday met with Arayik Harutunyan, the Prime Minister of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, who is in Los Angeles to participate in the Armenia Fund Telethon on Thanksgiving Day.
Accompanying Harutunyan to the meeting were Armenia’s Ambassador to the US Tigran Sargsyan; Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Permanent Representative to the US Robert Avetisyan; and Chairman of Armenia Fund Inc., Antranik Baghdasarian.
ARF-D Western US Central Committee chairman Dr. Viken Hovsepian welcomed the prime minister, expressing the ARF-D’s long-standing and continued support to Artsakh, its liberation struggle, its development and economic stability.
Harutunyan thanked the ARF-D Central Committee for its commitment to Artsakh and the various activities and support it has undertaken since the beginning of the Karabakh movement.
He emphasized the importance of economic development of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, highlighting the “Our Home” campaign, which is the focal point of the 2015 Armenia Fund Telethon and aims to provide single-dwelling houses to families in Artsakh who have five or more children. He underscored that the project will help the growth in population in Artsakh, which will help its development.
He said the ground was ripe for individual investments in the various sectors on Artsakh, saying his government has created mechanisms that ensure individuals will see tangible results and returns on their investments.
Ambassador Sargsyan also emphasized the importance of the “Our Home” project, saying the impetus to increase the population of Artsakh will go a long way in the strengthening of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.
To questions regarding the current military unrest on the Karabakh-Azerbaijan borders, Harutunyan assured the gathering that the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Armed Forces are delivering the necessary response to Azerbaijani attacks. He also warned that the situation remained tense, but that was a reality with which the people and the government of Artsakh are living and collectively overcoming.

Հանդիպում Արցախի Վարչապետ Արայիկ Յարութիւնեանի Հետ
ԿԼԵՆՏԷՅԼ.- Միացեալ Նահանգներ այցելող Արցախի Հանրապետութեան վարչապետ Արայիկ Յարութիւնեան Երեքշաբթի, Նոյեմբեր 24ին հանդիպում մը ունեցաւ Արեւմտեան Ամերիկայի ՀՅԴ Կեդրոնական կոմիտէին եւ Հայ Դատի յանձնախումբի վարչութեան անդամներուն հետ:
Հանդիպումին ներկայ էր նաեւ Միացեալ Նահանգներու մօտ Հայաստանի դեսպան Տիգրան Սարգսեան, Միացեալ Նահանգներու մօտ Արցախի մնայուն ներկայացուցիչ Ռոպերթ Աւետիսեան եւ Արեւմտեան Ամերիկայի շրջանի Հայաստան հիմնադրամի ատենապետ Անդրանիկ Պաղտասարեան։
ՀՅԴ Կեդրոնական կոմիտէի ներկայացուցիչ դոկտ. Վիգէն Յովսէփեան ողջունեց վարչապետը՝ շեշտելով, թէ կուսակցութիւնը միշտ զօրավիգ կանգնած է Արցախի ժողովուրդի ինքնորոշման իրաւունքին եւ պիտի շարունակէ նպաստել Արցախի զարգացման եւ տնտեսութեան հզօրացման գործին։
Իր կարգին, Յարութիւնեան շնորհակալութիւն յայտնեց ՀՅԴի մատուցած օժանդակութիւններուն համար, որոնք սկսած են Արցախի ազատագրական պայքարի առաջին օրերէն իսկ։ Ան շեշտը դրաւ Արցախը տնտեսապէս հզօրացնելու հրամայականին վրայ, որուն մեծապէս պիտի նպաստէ Հայաստան Համահայկական հիմնադրամի «Մեր Տունը» ծրագիրը, որ օժանդակութեան ձեռք պիտի երկարէ Արցախի բազմազաւակ ընտանիքներուն։ Վարչապետը նաեւ ներկայացուց ցարդ իրագործուած ծրագիրներուն մանրամասնութիւնները՝ Արցախի տնտեսութեան տարբեր մարզերուն մէջ ներդրումներ կատարելու կարեւորութիւնը մատնանշելով։
Հայաստանի դեսպան Տիգրան Սարգսեան եւս շեշտեց «Մեր Տունը» ծրագիրին կարեւորութիւնը՝ նշելով, որ Արցախի բնակչութեան թիւի աճը բնականաբար պիտի հզօրացնէ հանրապետութեան հիմերը։
Պատասխանելով Արցախի ապահովական վիճակին մասին հարցումներու՝ վարչապետ Յարութիւնեան վստահեցուց, թէ Արցախի բանակը արժանի պատասխանը կու տայ ատրպէյճանական ոտնձգութիւններուն, միաժամանակ ընդունելով, որ կացութիւնը լարուած կը մնայ տարածաշրջանին մէջ։
ՀՅԴ Կեդրոնական կոմիտէն իր կարգին վստահեցուց, թէ պիտի շարունակէ նեցուկ կանգնիլ Արցախի ժողովուրդին՝ մօտէն համագործակցելով Արցախի իշխանութեան հետ։
