From the very beginning of the civil war in Syria, the Armenian Community in Aleppo has suffered, big losses in lives, injuries and properties, being in the center of the battleground between the Army and the opposition forces. The situation has been deteriorated the last period, from the moment that in the area the main forces fighting against the army, are the Al Qaeda affiliated forces.
There is no doubt that those extremist rebel forces, are armed by Turkey and entering from there, do not fight against the armed forces, but basically their attacks are aimed against the population in the cities and villages. Recently, they attacked the Armenian populated town of Kessab, entering from Turkey, forcing the entire population to evacuate the town and find shelter in the city of Latakia. During the last days those forces entering again from Turkey are attacking Aleppo, targeting basically the Armenian populated neighborhoods and especially Nor Kyough.
As reported by news agencies also, incessant rocket fire against the Nor Kyough neighborhood, from the Al Qaeda affiliated forces, are endangering the lives of the population and are causing massive destruction. Armenian churches, schools, institutions, houses and stores are in complete or partial destruction, making life unbearable for the citizens of the town, thus causing a new wave of evacuation towards Latakia, which is already overflowing with Armenian refugees from the insurgence of the terrorist groups in Kessab early this spring.
In view of this terribly inhuman situation the Emergency Relief Body of Syrian Armenians (ERBSA) has declared the Armenian Nor Kyough neighborhood in Aleppo a DISASTER ZONE.
The European Armenian Federation for Justice and Democracy condemns these continuing attacks against the Armenian population in Syria. There is no doubt that those Al Qaeda affiliated forces are considering now as their target the Armenian towns and neighborhoods and there is evidence that these growing attacks are being encouraged by third countries and especially Turkey, where those groups are armed and circulate freely between the borders of Turkey and Syria, besides all the fake assurances of Turkey for the contrary.
We call on the European Union, that it is time to stop acting as it does until now and condemn strongly the above attacks and to exercise pressure on Turkey to stop arming those rebel groups and sending them to Syria to attack Armenian towns and neighborhoods. We call on all governments, especially those who are supporting the opposition forces to immediately use their leverage to halt the attacks on the Armenian neighborhoods. These governments which do not work to end the operation will be considered moral accomplices in the anti-Armenian attacks and all the other crimes perpetrated by those extremist groups.
We call on the Syrian authorities to initiate immediate measures to secure the physical safety of the unarmed civilians, aspiring to leave in safety and peace in their towns and neighborhoods.
The Armenian nation who has suffered a genocide perpetrated by Turkey and other terrible situations, has survived and will not tolerate any new plans to mass attacks against our compatriots in Syria and will respond accordingly all over the world to protect them.

La FEAJD condamne les attaques contre Alep
Dès les premières heures de la guerre civile en Syrie, la communauté arménienne d’Alep a été prise en étaux au cœur du conflit entre l’armée régulière et l’opposition, subissant de nombreux dommages matériels ainsi que des blesses et des pertes humaines. La situation s’est détériorée durant ces derniers temps compte tenu du fait que les principales forces qui combattent l’armée syrienne dans la région sont des combattants affiliés à Al Qaeda.
Il ne fait aucun doute que les forces rebelles extrémistes, armées par la Turquie et s’infiltrant via son territoire, ne cherchent pas à combattre l’armée mais s’attaquent aux populations dans les villes et villages. Récemment ils ont attaqué la ville de Kessab, peuplée majoritairement d’arméniens, en entrant depuis la Turquie, ce qui a contraint la population à trouver refuge dans la ville de Latakie. Ces derniers jours, ces mêmes forces, en provenance de Turquie, attaquent désormais Alep, prenant principalement pour cible les quartiers arméniens et plus particulièrement Nor Kyugh.
Comme le rapportent les différents medias à travers le monde, les frappes de roquettes incessantes contre le quartier de Nor Kyugh des forces affiliées à Al Qaeda mettent en danger la survie de la population et causent des destructions à grande échelle. Les églises, écoles, institutions, maisons et magasins sont complètement ou partiellement détruits, rendant la vie insoutenable pour les habitants de la ville et entrainant une nouvelle vague de réfugiés en direction de Latakie, déjà submergée par l’afflux de réfugiés Arméniens en provenance de Kessab suite aux attaques des groupes terroristes durant le printemps.
Au vu de la situation humanitaire désastreuse, l’organe pour l’urgence et la prise en charge des Arméniens de Syrie a déclaré le quartier arménien de Nor Kyugh comme « Zone Sinistrée ».
La Fédération Euro-Arménienne pour la Justice et la Démocratie condamne ces attaques incessantes contre la population arménienne de Syrie. Il ne fait aucun doute désormais que les forces affiliées à Al Qaeda considèrent les villages et quartiers arméniens comme des cibles privilégiées. Des preuves tangibles démontrent que ces attaques sont encouragées par des États tiers, parmi lesquels la Turquie où ces groupes sont armés et circulent librement entre la frontière turco-syrienne, et ce malgré les déclarations mensongers de la Turquie affirmant le contraire.
Nous appelons l’Union Européenne à changer sa ligne politique actuelle et à condamner sévèrement ces attaques ainsi qu’à exercer une pression sur la Turquie pour qu’elle cesse d’armer et d’envoyer ces groupes rebelles attaquer les populations et quartiers arméniens en Syrie. Nous en appelons à tous les gouvernements, particulièrement à ceux qui soutiennent la rébellion, à user de leur influence pour faire stopper les attaques contre les quartiers arméniens. Ne pas œuvrer à l’arrêt de ces opérations équivaudrait à fournir un soutien moral à ces attaques anti-arméniennes et aux autres crimes perpétrés par ces groupes.
Nous appelons les autorités syriennes à entreprendre des mesures immédiates visant à assurer la sécurité des civils désarmés qui ne demandent qu’à vivre en paix et en sécurité dans leurs villes.
Le peuple arménien ayant souffert un génocide de la part de la Turquie et d’autres atrocités, a survécu et ne permettra pas qu’un nouveau plan d’extermination de masse contre nos compatriotes en Syrie se mette en place et entreprendra les actions nécessaires, partout dans le monde, en vue de les protéger.

Եւրոպայի Հայ Դատի յանձնախումբը կը դատապարտէ Հալէպի դէմ յարձակումները
Սուրիոյ քաղաքացիական պատերազմի սկիզբէն իսկ, Հալէպի հայկական համայնքը, գտնուելով կառավարական եւ ընդիմմութեան ուժերուն ընդհարումի գօտիին միջեւ, մինչեւ այսօր կ’ապրի ծանր օրեր, տալով տասնեակներով զոհեր, հարիւրաւոր վիրաւորներ, ինչպէս նաեւ կրելով հսկայական վնասներ համայնքային եւ սեփական կառոյցներու: Վերջին շրջանին կացութիւնը վատթարացած է, քանի շրջանին մէջ, կառավարութեան դէմ հակադրուող ուժերը, Ալ Քայիտայի հետ կապակցութիւն ունեցող ուժերն են:
Կասկածէ վեր է թէ ծայրայեղական ընդիմադիր այս ուժերը, զինուած Թուրքիոյ կողմէ եւ մուտք գործած Թուրքիայէն, իբրեւ իրենց հիմնական թիրախը ընտրած են յարձակումները անզէն ժողովուրդին վրայ, քաղաքներու եւ գիւղերու մէջ: Կարճ ժամանակ առաջ, մուտք գործելով Թուրքիայէն, յարձակեցան հայաբնակ Քեսապին վրայ, պատճառ դառնալով որ ամբողջ բնակչութիւնը տեղահանուի եւ ապաստան գտնէ Լաթաքիիոյ մէջ: Վերջին օրերուն նոյն ուժերը, մուտք գործելով նորէն Թուրքիայէն, սկսած են անդադար հրթիռակոծումը Հալէպի հայկական թաղամասերուն եւ յատկապէս Նոր Գիւղի շրջանը:
Ինչպէս կը տեղեկացնեն մամլոյ սպասարկութիւններ եւս, Նոր Գիւղի անդադար այս հրթիռակոծումը, ծայրայեղական ուժերուն կողմէ, վտանգի ենթարկած է բնակչութեան կեանքը իսկ մեծ վնասներ հասցուցած՝ հայկական եկեղեցիներու, դպրոցներու, ակումբներու, բնակարաններու եւ գործատուներու, որոնք ամբողջութեամբ կամ մասամբ քանդուած են, պատճառելով անզէն եւ խաղաղ բնակչութեան տեղահանումը եւ ապաստան գտնելը Լաթաքիա, ուր արդէն խճողուած են Քեսապի փախստականները:
Նկատի ունենալով ստեղծուած կացութիւնը, Սուրիահայութեան Շտապ Օգնութեան եւ Վերականգման Մարմինը, յայտարարած է Հալէպի հայկական թաղամաս Նոր Գիւղը իբրեւ ԱՂԷՏԵԱԼ ԳՕՏԻ:
Հ.Յ.Դ. Եւրոպայի Հայ Դատի Յանձնախումբը, կը դատապարտէ շարունակական այս յարձակումները Սուրիոյ հայ ազգաբնակչութեան դէմ: Անկասկած՝ ծայրայեղական այս ուժերը կը նկատեն այժմ, իբրեւ իրենց հիմնական թիրախը կը նկատեն հայաբնակ շրջանները եւ որոնք անտարակոյս կը քաջալերուին երրորդ երկիրներու կողմէ եւ յատկապէս Թուրքիայէն, ուր եւ կը զինուին այս ուժերը եւ ունին արտօնութիւնը մուտք գործելու Սուրիոյ սահմաններէն ներս, հակառակ Թուրքիոյ անհիմն պնդումներուն որ ինք ոեւէ մեղսակցութիւնը չունի:
Կոչ կ’ուղղենք Եւրոպական Միութեան, որ այլեւս ժամանակն է փոխելու իր որդեգրած կեցուածքը մինչեւ այսօր եւ դատապարտելու բուռն կերպով այս յարձակումները եւ ճնշելու Թուրքիան որ դադարեցնէ ոճրագործ այս ուժերու զինումը եւ ուղարկումը Սուրիա, յարձակումներ կատարելու համար հայաբնակ շրջաններու վրայ: Կոչ կ’ուղղենք բոլոր պետութիւններուն եւ յատկապէս անոնց որոնք կը սատարեն ընդիմութեան ուժերուն, որ միջամտեն եւ պահանջեն ծայրայեղական այդ ուժերէն, դադարեցնելու իրենց յարձակումները հայաբնակ շրջաններուն վրայ: Այն պետութիւնները, որոնք պիտի չառնեն նման նախաձեռնութիւններ պիտի կրեն բարոյական պատասխանատուութիւնը հակահայ այս գործողութիւններուն եւ բոլոր ոճիռներուն որ կը կատարուին ծայրայեղական այս ուժերուն կողմէ:
Կոչ կ’ուղղենք Սուրիոյ իշխանութիւններուն, որ դիմեն անմիջական միջոցառումներու, ապահովելու անզէն ժողովուրդին ֆիզիքական ապահովութիւնը, որուն տենչանքն է իր գիւղերուն եւ թաղամասերուն մէջ ապրելու խաղաղութեամբ եւ կեանքի ու ինչքի ապահովութեամբ:
Հայ ժողովուրդը որ ենթարկուած է ցեղասպանութեան թուրքիոյ կողմէ, դիմագրաւած է մեծ աղէտներ, սակայն այսօր ոտքի է եւ կենդանի, պիտի չ’արտօնէ ոեւէ նոր զանգուածային յարձակումներու ծրագրի իրագործումը Սուրիոյ մեր հայրենակիցներուն դէմ, եւ պիտի հակազդէ համապատասխանօրէն ամբողջ աշխարհի մէջ, ապահովելու համար Սուրիոյ հայութեան անվտանգութիւնը:
