SYDNEY: The Armenian National Committee of Australia (ANC Australia) has congratulated newly elected leader of the Australian Labor Party in New South Wales, The Hon. Luke Foley MLC.
Foley, who is a member of the NSW Armenia-Australia Parliamentary Friendship Group, was elected unanimously as the new leader of the State opposition after the sudden resignation of John Robertson.
In a letter addressed to Foley, ANC Australia stated: “We congratulate you on your election as leader of the Opposition. We look forward to our ongoing constructive relationship which we have shared for many years.”
ANC Australia also congratulated Robertson on his service as Leader of the Opposition.
New South Wales will head to the polls for a State Election on March 28, 2015.
