ANCA Partners with IDC for 6th Annual Solidarity Dinner

The ANCA was proud to partner with In Defense of Christians (IDC) for the 6th Annual Solidarity Dinner and National Leadership Conference, celebrating efforts to defend the rights of Christians and minority communities throughout the Middle East.

The ANCA shared a broad range of community priorities including expanded U.S. assistance for Armenians and Christians throughout the Middle East, Congressional passage of Armenian Genocide legislation and support for Artsakh freedom.

Special guests included the White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney, U.S. Ambassador at Large for International Religious Freedom Sam Brownback, Members of Congress including Rep. Gus Bilirakis (R-FL), Rep. Jeff Fortenberry (R-NE), and Rep. Jackie Speier (D-CA), former U.S. Representative Frank Wolf (R-VA), among many others.

His Eminence Archbishop Anoushavan Tanielian offered the opening prayer of the evening. Others joining the ANCA delegation included ANCA Chairman Raffi Hamparian, National Board Member Ani Tchaghlasian, ANCA Idaho Chair Liyah Babayan, ANCA stalwart Jocelyn Micolucci, and the organization’s national and regional team members.

The IDC Solidarity Dinner kicked off a two-day National Leadership Conference, which will continue on September 11th with Congressional panels and day-long meetings with Members of Congress.
