‘ANCA in Your Neighborhood’ to Visit Denver on January 29

Denver, CO – True to its grassroots, the Armenian National Committee America-Western Region (ANCA WR) will continue its road trip through the region, now with a stop in Denver, Colorado followed by one to Wyoming. On Sunday, January 29, at 2:00PM, ANCA-WR and ANCA Colorado will host the next ‘ANCA In Your Neighborhood’ Town Hall at the ANCA-WR Denver Headquarters located across the state’s capitol (1373 Grant Street, Fellowship Hall).

“We look forward to reconnecting with our grassroots in Colorado to learn about issues impacting the community locally and to discuss current legislative and community development initiatives in the state that will have a measurable impact on the daily lives of our communities and US-Armenia relations,” remarked Elen Asatryan, ANCA-WR Executive Director.Following the townhall, the team will join constituents in meetings with elected officials at the state capitol all day Monday, January 30 to discuss Armenian-American priorities in the Centennial State. Community members from across Colorado are encouraged to participate. The ANCA-WR Town Hall series is an effort to reactivate and engage Armenian American communities throughout the Western United States. The meetings are led by ANCA-WR senior staff and board members, who provide attendees with an overview of the organization, its priorities on the local, state, and federal levels, and recent developments affecting Armenian-Americans, Armenia and Artsakh. During the townhalls, community members have an opportunity to ask questions, discuss local community needs, make recommendations, and learn about ways to get involved with ANCA efforts locally.

The January 29 Town Hall Meeting will be led by ANCA-WR Executive Director Elen Asatryan and Denver-based ANCA-WR Community Development Coordinator Simon Maghakyan.
